How to automate travel itinerary planning with GloriaMundo¶
The Problem¶
Planning a trip properly — not just booking flights and a hotel, but actually researching what to do each day — takes hours of browsing travel blogs, review sites, and forums. You end up with 30 open tabs, a scattered notes file, and no clear plan for how the days fit together. Estimating costs is another layer of effort: restaurant price ranges, attraction entry fees, transport options. Most people either over-plan and exhaust themselves before the trip, or under-plan and miss out on things they would have loved.
How GloriaMundo Solves It¶
We build a workflow that takes your destination, travel dates, number of travellers, and any preferences (e.g. food interests, budget range, pace). A web search step researches top-rated attractions, restaurants, day trips, and local tips for the destination. A sub-agent processes each category in parallel — finding opening hours, price ranges, locations, and review scores. An LLM step takes all the research and assembles a day-by-day itinerary, grouping activities by neighbourhood to minimise travel time, balancing busy days with relaxed ones, and adding estimated costs for each activity and meal. The finished itinerary is written to a Google Doc with a clean format: one section per day, with times, locations, cost estimates, and booking links where available. Glass Box preview lets you review the full itinerary and swap out any suggestions before the document is created.
Example Workflow Steps¶
- Trigger (manual): You provide the destination, dates, number of travellers, budget, and preferences.
- Step 1 (web_search): Research top-rated attractions, museums, and landmarks for the destination.
- Step 2 (web_search): Search for highly-rated restaurants and local food recommendations in the area.
- Step 3 (sub_agent): For each shortlisted activity and restaurant, gather details — opening hours, price range, location, and review highlights.
- Step 4 (LLM): Assemble a day-by-day itinerary, grouping activities by proximity, balancing the pace across days, and adding estimated costs per item and per day.
- Step 5 (integration): Create a formatted Google Doc with the complete itinerary — daily sections with times, locations, cost estimates, and links.
Integrations Used¶

Who This Is For¶
Anyone planning a holiday or city break who wants a well-researched, structured itinerary without spending an entire evening buried in review sites and travel blogs. Particularly useful for trips to unfamiliar destinations where you do not have local knowledge.
Time & Cost Saved¶
Thoroughly researching and planning a 5-day trip typically takes 4-6 hours of browsing, comparing, and organising. This workflow delivers a complete, costed itinerary in about 20-30 minutes of review time. For frequent travellers or travel-planning enthusiasts who plan multiple trips per year, the cumulative time saving is substantial. The workflow uses web search, sub-agent, LLM, and integration steps, costing a moderate number of credits per run.
